Luxury pools in Dubai to book this summer

Luxury pools in Dubai hold a special kind of magic in summer, when the city slows down, the crowds thin, and a perfect pool day becomes the most restorative thing you can do.

Why summer is the right time

Summer is, honestly, one of my favourite times to explore the city’s more indulgent side. Hotels quiet down, rates soften, and the service feels more personal. You get the full attention of a world-class property without the peak-season crowds.

Dubai’s hotels respond to summer heat with real intelligence. Temperature-controlled pools are central to the city’s pool landscape, because the intense heat can deter swimmers. These pools maintain a consistent temperature, usually between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, making them welcoming even on the hottest days. Add a chilled cabana, cold towels on arrival, and a menu of fresh food, and you have a full day of genuine wellness.

The 5 experiences below are not just pools. They are destinations in their own right. Each one offers something distinct, and all 5 are worth booking ahead.

Address Beach Resort, Jumeirah Beach Residence

This is the one that made Dubai famous for luxury pools. ZETA Seventy Seven sits at 293.9 metres above ground on Level 77 of Address Beach Resort. Recognised by Guinness World Records as the highest outdoor infinity pool in the world situated outdoors, this adults-only sanctuary offers unmatched views of the Arabian Gulf, Palm Jumeirah, and Ain Dubai.

The pool itself is generous in size. It measures 95 metres in length and 16.5 metres in width. Lying on a sunbed at that altitude, looking out over the Gulf, feels quietly extraordinary. It never loses its power, no matter how many times you visit.

Both hotel guests and outside visitors can access the pool by booking one of the available packages. Guests can choose from a single sunbed, a gazebo for couples, or a private cabana for groups of up to 7, with various time slots and redeemable benefits. The Saturday Infinity Brunch on Level 77 adds an Asian fusion dining layer that makes it a full afternoon.

Atlantis The Royal, Cloud 22, Palm Jumeirah

Found at Atlantis The Royal, Cloud 22 invites guests to a visual experience that defines exclusivity. Here you can swim in one of the world’s most impressive infinity pools, as well as a crystal-clear lotus pool.

Featuring 60 sun loungers and 15 floating beds, this VVIP experience sits on the rooftop of Atlantis The Royal hotel. Towering at 96 metres in the air, you can enjoy the refreshing pool, floating beds, and the cool breeze that moves in over Palm Jumeirah.

Entry, inclusive of a sun lounger and pool access, costs between AED 450 and AED 650. For a more special experience, you can reserve the floating beds, a luxurious cabana, or the two-level Duplex Pool Villa. This is the most theatrical rooftop pool experience in the city, and it earns every dirham.

Ciel Dubai Marina, Tattu Sky Pool

This property changed what the city considers possible. Ciel Dubai Marina holds the record for the world’s highest infinity pool. The Tattu Sky Pool is located on level 76 and soars 310 metres above the city.

Sitting a few levels up from Tattu restaurant inside the Ciel Hotel, guests can lounge on one of 50 plush day beds and look out over Palm Jumeirah and the open sea. The venue offers more than a pool day, with everything from sunrise sessions and breakfast to late-night dancing and live DJs.

The building itself is a record holder. Designed by architect Norr, the all-hotel tower features 1,004 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf, and the Dubai skyline. Even if you only visit for the pool, you leave with the feeling that you saw the city from its most honest angle.

An industry perspective on luxury pool wellness

In Dubai, the hotel pool has evolved into a full wellness and lifestyle destination. Guests no longer arrive simply to swim. They come for the combination of altitude, design, culinary quality, and atmosphere. The best properties treat the pool as the centrepiece of the guest day, integrating temperature control, curated music programming, signature pool menus, and personalised cabana service into a single coherent experience. This approach reflects a broader shift in how luxury travellers define wellness: not as a spa treatment alone, but as the total quality of a few hours spent somewhere beautiful. Hotels that invest in this full experience consistently outperform those that treat the pool as a secondary amenity.

SLS Dubai, Business Bay

SLS Dubai is a 75-storey luxury hotel in Business Bay with 2 rooftop infinity pools overlooking the Burj Khalifa, a 71st floor Sky Lobby, and Ciel Spa on the 69th floor.

The rooftop infinity pools at SLS Dubai offer panoramic views from 75 floors, overlooking Dubai’s skyline and iconic landmarks. Sleek modern architecture combined with luxurious amenities creates a chic poolside atmosphere. Guests can enjoy refined lounging spaces, stylish private cabanas, gourmet dining, and expertly crafted cocktails.

The 2 rooftop infinity pools on the 75th floor offer altitude alongside a polished atmosphere. The minimum spend for non-guests is AED 400 per person (AED 350 redeemable) or AED 650 per couple (AED 600 redeemable). Full access is for adults aged 21 and above, with a Meydan-view pool option for younger guests with an adult.

Bab Al Shams, desert road

Not every luxury pool experience belongs in the sky. Sometimes the most restorative choice is the one that puts you in front of the desert instead of the skyline.

Bab Al Shams is located a 45-minute drive from Downtown Dubai and provides an exclusive retreat in the heart of the desert. Unlike city hotels, it offers a genuinely different kind of luxury. The property includes infinity pools, private villas, and a luxury spa, alongside authentic Arabian cultural experiences.

The resort offers a pool day pass where you can look out over the dunes and enjoy the swim-up bar. You can sit in the water and sip cold drinks all day, and even receive a free ice treat during the afternoon. Taking a dip in this pool genuinely feels like cooling off in a desert oasis. For residents who live in the city daily, this one feels like the most honest escape of all.

Conclusion: book your luxury pools this season

This summer is a rare window. The city is quieter, the skies are clear, and Dubai’s most beautiful luxury pools are yours to explore at your own pace. Whether you want the world-record altitude of Ciel, the theatrical rooftop energy of Cloud 22, the Guinness-certified height of Address Beach Resort, the skyline drama of SLS, or the quiet desert calm of Bab Al Shams, each of these luxury pools delivers far more than a swim. Book early, arrive unhurried, and let the water do the rest.
